There is a particular kind of quote we see a lot. A general handyman looks at a door that will not open, cannot see anything obviously broken, and suggests replacing the motor — because the motor is the part that looks like technology and the springs are just bits of coiled steel up near the ceiling.
The motor is almost never the problem. The springs carry the weight; the motor merely guides the door. A specialist walks in, pulls the manual release, lifts the door by hand, and knows within thirty seconds whether he is looking at a spring, a cable, a track or a motor. That is not cleverness — it is repetition.
It is also why we can carry the right stock. Our vehicles hold torsion springs in the common sizes, cables, drums, rollers, hinges, brackets, capacitors, receivers, remotes and the motors we fit most often. A generalist cannot do that, because he never knows what today's job is going to be.

Repetition. A specialist has taken hundreds of doors off their tracks and put them back, which means he recognises a failing cable drum by the sound it makes. A handyman is guessing carefully. Both may be honest — but only one of them is carrying the right spring in the back of the vehicle.
Do you work on all garage door brands?
Yes. Gliderol, Wispeco, Hörmann, Alutec and the local fabricators, plus every motor that has real support in this country — Centurion, ET Systems, Digi and Chamberlain. If it hangs in a Gauteng garage, we have almost certainly worked on it.
Are there jobs you turn down?
Yes. We will not hang a door on a lintel we do not trust, we will not fit an undersized motor because it is what the customer already bought, and we will not put a new motor on a door that is beyond saving. Saying no to those keeps the guarantee meaningful.

How long have you been doing this?
